The HP driver support for the HP DesignJet 450C printer series was closed with the Windows XP 32bit driver, on 8 March 2004, but is it still possible to run a installation of the printer on the latest Microsoft Windows Edition, Windows 10, 64bit.
This tutorial gives you a overview about the installation of a HP DesignJet 450C on Windows 10, 64bit, which works for us fine.
But be carefull, we don't assume any liability for damage of your computer, your os or other software.
Step1:
Download following hp driver, which you can find here:
Step2:
Unzip the driver package, with a rar unzipper, like WinRar.
Step 3:
Disable the Windows 10 driver signing by following commands:
1. Windows Key + X
2. Choose the option "Prompt (Administrator)" in the Pop Up
3. Run following lines in the prompt:
bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
-> Press Enter
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON
-> Press Enter
After that, restart Windows 10.
Step 4:
This previous procedure allows you to run Windows 10 without the in-build driver signing. That makes it possible to install the download HP driver on Windows 10. Now you can add and install your HP DesignJet 450C in usual way by using the download driver, pln532en.
Step 5:
After that, you can restart the Microsoft driver signing by following lines:
1. Windows Key + X
2. Choose the option "Prompt (Administrator)" in the Pop Up
3. Run following lines in the prompt:
bcdedit -set loadoptions ENABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
